A couple of weeks ago our interns graduated from our Stáž (Czech word for "internship") program. We spent 9 months together studying systematic theology, ministry skills, and growing in our relationship with Christ. This program is what I've been dreaming about for the past 12 years as I've been pursuing ministry in Czech. To take a group of youth pastors, sit down with them and study together what the heart of a leader looks like has been a dream come true. At our graduation ceremony our students each presented their final projects. Honza's project was about godly manliness. Jozef wrote about stepping outside of our Christian world into the world Christ has made us ambassadors to. Ivanka, who comes from a broken family, talked about family and it's importance in ministry. I'm proud of our students. I bless them in the name of Jesus as they pursue His plans. I'm thankful for their sacrifice of a school year to study more intensely the life of Christ. In the middle of the year when God is revealing sin and the work is overwhelming it is tempting to look forward to the end of the school year. But when the end comes you realize how sweet the relationships and time together are.
